National Championships Awards

The 2010 mOUnTaiNBACK was selected by USA Track & Field to host the USA 50 Mile National Championships. The mOUnTaiNBACK is offering a prize purse totaling $4,000, with awards going to the top three finishers in each category as follows:

  1st Place 2nd Place 3rd Place
Men's Open $600 $400 $250
Women's Open $600 $400 $250
Men - Masters $350 $250 $150
Women - Masters $350 $250 $150

USATF USATF National Championship overall medals to first 10 men and women and first 3 men and women in each masters age group (in 5-year increments: 40-44, 45-49, etc.). Runners must be USATF members prior to the start to be eligible for cash awards or medals. To join, visit http://www.usatf.org/membership.

Consistent with USATF rules for Long Distance Running events, masters runners are allowed to win awards in both open and masters categories. A masters entrant that wins the overall title wins both the Open and Masters Championship purse. (USATF membership required.)

Athletes may double dip (e.g., masters man is third overall, also gets age group master award). Patches for the top finisher in each master age group.
